Process Planning & Taking
Action
The action phases of my product creation.

Makeup products used in the creation of the product
Phase 1 - Investigating
Phase one included researching topics that were of importance when creating my product. The initial task was to create a goal for myself that involved my final product. Creating a goal allowed me to be more focused on relevant information that was necessary for the product. My goal was initially created to be more thematic and less focused on color but I chose to go more theoretical with color to challenge myself. My goal was to research and show how certain colors affect the way people perceive art and how mood and tones can be portrayed through those colors. I chose the global context, personal and cultural expression because makeup is an art form and a way of expressing oneself.
After creating my goal, I began researching the basics of color theory and how it affects the perception of people. I tried to use educational resources that were aimed to be professional to collect my information.
Phase 2 - Planning
After completing my research, I created a rubric/criteria for my products (guidelines to follow). In my criteria, I had difficulty picking a specific theme for the makeup looks I wanted to create. I eventually chose to do the opposite spectrums of the color wheel along with a simple monochrome look to bring out all aspects of color theory. After finalizing my criteria (can be seen on the criteria page), I developed my action plan/schedule with my mentor and got busy with creating the makeup looks.
Phase 3 - Taking Action
This phase includes the creation of my product. I asked 2 of my friends to be my models for this project so that I could get more diversity in the different looks that I was creating. Some makeup looks took longer than others and displayed my knowledge of color theory onto the 3 different makeup looks that can be seen on the homepage.
